Luke 23:26-34

Our particular focus is on Jesus' first word from the cross - "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" (v.34) - a prayer in which Christ is showing his love, seeking his enemies' forgiveness, pleading their ignorance, and addressing his Father in heaven.
