Job 1:6-12; 2:1-6

In Job Chs.1&2 we see the LORD blessing Job, delighting in Job, and then afflicting Job. Focussing particularly on his afflicting of Job we notice that he does it by way of permission, for a particular purpose, and only up to a point.
