Nicky Nook with a cherry on top!
Nicky Nook with a cherry on the top!
12th August 2017
When it is August, and a Saturday, and not raining, then you just have to get outside and walk. That's what a group of ladies from NPEC did. Nicky Nook was calling us and so we made our way to the lovely village of Scorton and set off together. It is not a difficult walk over Nicky Nook but it has enough steps and sufficient incline to merit a few pauses, - just to admire the view , of course!
And from the top, well, what a wonderful panorama! Lancashire is simply beautiful and God gave it to us to see and enjoy from the top of Nicky Nook.
It was also a lovely opportunity to chat, catch up on family news and encourage one another.
I know you are wondering, 'what's this cherry on the top all about?' Well, the cherry on the top was actually at the bottom! We ladies know how to finish off a good hill walk and so we headed straight for The Apple Store in Scorton for coffee and cake. We sat together in the sunny garden and enjoyed it all.
Now we need to have another walk!
